We work with a wide range of issues, including:

  • Mood disorders and depression

  • Anxiety (generalized, social, panic attacks, phobias)

  • PTSD and complex trauma

  • OCD and related conditions

  • Sexual health and identity concerns

  • Gender transition and exploration

  • Grief, loss, and life transitions

We also offer neurofeedback training and can coordinate with trusted colleagues for medication management and neuropsychological testing.

Trauma Therapy

Unprocessed trauma can impact your mood, relationships, and overall well-being. We help you process painful experiences and regain control of your life. Our therapists are trained in:

  • Trauma-focused CBT

  • Prolonged Exposure

  • EMDR

LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy

Neurofeedback

Train your brain – no medication required.

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, evidence-based approach that helps you improve your brain’s regulation patterns using real-time feedback. By tracking electrical activity in the brain (EEG), neurofeedback can help you learn to shift out of unhelpful brain states and into more flexible, balanced ones.

At Good Therapy NYC, neurofeedback is offered as a standalone service or as an adjunct to psychotherapy. We work with clients seeking support for:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Depression and mood regulation

  • ADHD

  • PTSD and trauma

  • Mental clarity and peak performance

We use tools such as NeuroGuide, LORETA, and QEEG-based assessments to tailor the training protocol to your brain patterns.

“You can’t always talk your way out of a nervous system that’s stuck. Neurofeedback helps you train your brain to respond differently.”

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

Structured, solution-focused approach to shifting unhelpful thinking and behavior.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Blends mindfulness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.

Specialized Modalities

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

A parts-based model that helps foster inner balance and self-leadership.

EMDR

Uses bilateral stimulation to process and integrate trauma.
