PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Available for in-person and virtual sessions.

Kristina Colovic is a New York-based psychotherapist with nearly a decade of clinical experience specializing in trauma, resilience, and integrative healing. Since 2017, they have dedicated their practice to helping adults navigate complex emotional landscapes, ranging from anxiety and depression to attachment patterns, grief, and interpersonal systems.

Currently practicing in NYC, Kristina Colovic’s clinical background includes extensive work at Good Therapy in Brooklyn and serving as a Substance Use Treatment Counselor at the LGBT Center in Manhattan. This diverse experience has fostered a deep expertise in treating trauma-related disorders and chemical dependency, supported by their status as a Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).

Kristina Colovic’s therapeutic philosophy is rooted in an integrated, collaborative approach. By blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Relational and Family Systems with existential ideologies, they help clients identify and integrate disparate parts of their lived experience. Their goal is to foster self-awareness and practical solutions within the "here and now," providing a safe, nonjudgmental space for personal growth.

Beyond the clinical setting, Kristina Colovic brings a unique interdisciplinary lens to their artistic practice. Their professional insights into how the body physically “holds” trauma directly inform their conceptual framework as a photographer, bridging the gap between somatic experience and visual expression.
